Aims and Objectives

Aim

The Journal of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability (JESS) aims to promote scientific inquiry, innovation, and dialogue in environmental science and sustainability studies. The journal seeks to provide an open-access platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share knowledge and develop sustainable solutions to global environmental challenges.

Objectives

The key objectives of JESS are to:

  1. Advance Scientific Knowledge: Encourage original and high-quality research that contributes to the understanding of environmental systems, sustainability practices, and ecological balance.

  2. Promote Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Bridge the gap between environmental science, technology, policy, and socio-economic dimensions of sustainability.

  3. Support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Facilitate research aligned with the United Nations SDGs to foster global sustainability and responsible resource management.

  4. Encourage Innovation: Promote innovative approaches, technologies, and methodologies for mitigating environmental issues and improving sustainability outcomes.

  5. Disseminate Knowledge Globally: Ensure unrestricted and equitable access to scientific knowledge through open-access publication, enhancing visibility and impact of environmental research.

  6. Inform Policy and Practice: Provide a credible research base to guide policymakers, institutions, and organizations in formulating effective environmental policies and sustainable strategies.

Through these objectives, JESS strives to strengthen the link between research, education, and real-world environmental problem-solving for a sustainable future.
